    Please help me on this.
    I am so naive on this topic.. I just bought a domain and my registrar asked for

    Primary Namerserver: NS3.XXXXX.COM
    Primary IP Address: (PLEASE FILL IN)

    Secondary Namerserver: NS4.XXXXX.COM
    Secondary IP Address: (PLEASE FILL IN)

    I know the name server what does it means by IP Address??
    Is it my IP or the server IP? How can I get the server IP is so?
    Thanks very much.
    Repped to those helpful.:D:rolleyes::rolleyes:

    It seems your registrar is asking for the details of the nameservers that are going to host the new domain name. Most registrars offer a DNS hosting facility. Take a look at it.

    Otherwise, if your new domain name has been setup on some nameserver(s) elsewhere, you need to enter the hostnames and IP addresses of the servers.

    You could try getting the IP address of a server by "pinging" it from the command line of your OS.

    "ping servername.com"

    To ping, do a Start / Run then in the box, type CMD . This will bring you to the command line. Then after that, type in 'ping servername.com'.

    Alternatively, you can use Ping Plotter Freeware http://www.pingplotter.com/freeware.html . It is a Windows based program and after you install it, you just need to run it and type in the server name and it will do the necessary traceroute for you.
