Help Improving CTR

I've had a blog up and running for about 3 weeks now. The main focus of the site isn't to create revenue, but I would like it to do so if possible. Currently, I'm averaging about 100 unique visitors / day. I've placed Google AdWords in several places and tried experimenting with various locations and types, all with the same results - no clicks. Over the past few weeks, I've had a CTR of 0.38% with just over $9 earned. Not exactly the result I was hoping for.

I'm looking for suggestions on both the placement of ads, as well as any other changes I can make to better increase the CTR and overall revenue of the site. Any help would be appreciated.

Try putting one banner above the fold & inserting a 300x200 inside your postings.

The problem with adding an ad inside of the first post, is that because all posts are shown on the same page, every time I did a new post, I would have to manually go in and remove the ad from the old post and put it into the new one.

Also, where would you suggest I place the ad to maximize its CTR? Graphic or text?

First of all, you shouldn't be showing the entire content of each post on the front page like that. Google doesn't like duplicate content. I'm not familiar with your blogging platform, but there should be some sort of feature to cut off part of the post, creating a "read more" link of some sort.

Remove one of the skycrapper, put one retangular ads unit at the top of your content.
