My website gets over 100,000 uniques a month, and I think now would be a good time to try and increase my ctr. http://www.tutorial-center.com currently gets around 0.6% ctr, any help is greatly appreciated
Your site is nice... But brother as i have noticed your website has fair amount of returning visitors so in order to make them click on your google ads you should generate multicolor adsense code from your adsense account so google ads keeps changing its colours. so each time visitors experienced some thing new and click on the ads.. here in dp forums you can observe a similar adsense multi color schemme on top of the forum... you can find how to rotate colors of ads here https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=9981 Regrds Mudassar
Your ads are blended (which makes them invisible in the colour scheme you're using), I suggest that you use more appealling colours and layouts. For example : - The wide banner on the top has links in black (like any normal text), and has no borders unlike all other content blocks, You are telling the visitor that "this text is not important at all, hurry and skip it. I suggest that you remove these ads and replace it with a combination of a content rich block (like a list of last added or more popular tutorials) and a large rectangle (300*288 or so)....
yeah black colors for the title in you ads is not appealing at all...i suggest the normal blue (#FFFFFF)...placement is nice though....
wOW I LAKH VISITORS PER MONTH!! THATS COOL MAN.. JUST BLEND THE ADS IN A BETTER WAY AND YOU CAN GET IT..
Thanks for the tips guys, I'll try something different every few days and see what works best. Thanks again Edit: I'm going to leave it a few days, the top ad has been showing image ads that get a much higher ctr for me.
Yup I agree, ads that are blended to well tend to get over looked, glad to hear that the image ads are working for you.
i suggest to put big text box add in place of 728X90, with some welcome massage or with Random Tutorials. surely it will work wonders for ur CTR.
