Traffic means nothing, you could get one targeted visitor who makes a purchase, or you could get 100,000 untargeted visitors who do nothing (or are generated brom a bot). Traffic is crap, targeted traffic is the gold you seek
davejug1, you are right.... buying traffic sucks! However, generally SE traffic (including PPC), direct traffic, and traffic from advertising is fairly targeted most of the time. Therefore, building up traffic in general (assuming it isn't purchased traffic) is generally a very good thing!
Unless you are targeting the wrong keywords. You might be top of the search engine for "wool" but if your site is selling sheep then your traffic won't convert.
You first priority should be - learn basic SEO as much possible. Read everything follow DP member Dan Schulz has to say and you will on the right path.
Good point, I guess you do need to ensure you're targetting the right traffic, but it seems most people do unless they haven't focused on SEO or any internet marketing at all.
If you just want to have traffic, you can simply buy from the many traffic sites but they're not targeted. The best is still to build your own lists.
Try building a mini net around your money site using web 2.0 properties all linking to each other and your site then bookmark and ping these and you should start seeing more traffic.
hi, just had a great result with press releases. if you want to increase your website traffic press releases are great. more info at prweb.com for for info, dave
First you need to submit your site to all search engine and directory. use social bookmarking sites to promote your site also. After that use article submission. Then use PPC campaign with a best and relevant keyword.
This is great info that you could make part of your traffic generation plan which would be a good idea for you to create and follow, dave
