    Hi,
    I need your help guys

    I have created several sites a few months ago. My sites have been submitted
    to the search engines in February.
    One site is about models, the other is about mobile phone themes,
    the third is a celebrities gallery.
    I have a very good ranking in MSN and Google for my sites,
    not for the same keywords though which makes it funny, and
    receive dozens of hits daily from both search engines.
    My sites are indexes in Yahoo, but show no sign of ranking
    and I receive very few hits from Yahoo.

    For example for my mobile phones portal http://www.mobile-fun.org
    I rank 1st page in MSN for "mobile themes" and "free mobile themes" (#1 on MSN) and rank 1st /2nd page in Google for "nokia s60 themes", "cartoon
    theme nokia 7610" (#1 on Google) and many similar keywords.
    But no sign of hits from Yahoo

    Has somebody else experienced the same issue ? Is it because
    the sites are new ?
    What do you recommend to have a good ranking in Yahoo ?
    Thanks

    What should the rss feeds do? What if you have a static site that rarely gets anything new added?

    well, i would agree that RSS feeds are great with Yahoo! up until April 2006. Yahoo! has been screwing sites with RSS feeds lately...

    read the thread on "Big Change at Yahoo!" in this forum.

    Don't believe me, type any search term in Yahoo! and you won't see any sites with "View as XML" and "add to myYahoo!" links anymore.

    This is good news as I would have had to program the RSS feeds..

    Does Yahoo take longer to start ranking the sites ?

    Strange. I am lucky to be doing well for trageted phrases in all 3, but like everyone else that could change over night. Great ranking is like a free-lunch. It does not last forever.

    I have had good results by staying true to the follwing;
    * Publish and post articles (content)
    * Quality OBL linking
    * Driving human traffic by way of viral marketing

    When I get frustrated with following the lastest algo I try to remember that it all boils down to text, traffic and links.
