Do you want to backup using a DVDs or portable HD?
    Whst do you have?

I recommend you go for backingup your entire HD using a portable HD than cd/dvds.
There are some good tools available online for free that helps you to take a hassle free backup and you are a google away :D

Most obvious way is the copying data to DVDs/CDs but usually its not so feasible copying back and forth and changing DVDs due to the limited space is troublesome. So I suggest you to use portable HDD for backup, its also faster.

Use a portable external hard disk drive. Acer is a good brand.
