Someone just click bombed me! They clicked my ads about 150+ times. Yesterday they did the same thing, but only 23 times, so I wasn't sure as to whether or not I should write google. I removed all of my ads as soon as I saw that it was happening. How do I have it so that my ads are still on the page but they don't collect revenue. Can anyone please tell me how to do that? Also, can someone please tell me what I should write to google as well as the email address I should send the information into google?
wow, I didn't know that people do this kind of thing. I assume Google can detect this kind of user behavior and ignore their clicks and ban their accounts for doing this.
To be on the safe side just write to Google that you noticed this happenning - just so it can be documented This type of thing happens all the time. How long have you been using adsense for? What's your niche.
I've had adsense since about Jan of 2011.. So About a year and four months. Nothing like this has ever happened before... I wrote them and filled out a form to let them know it is happening. I'm not quite sure what my niche is... I just have a forum where people talk about a million general topics... I have ad block running so I never even really see the ads that are being displayed, but when I disable it to get a glance it's usually cheapies. Like dating ads. Nothing major. What should I do now? I've removed my ads. Should I just keep them removed for some time now? I know there are programs that you can install that immediately block out IP addresses that click your ads more than once. can you recommend any?
how do you know you have been click bombed? can they not be just legit clicks? you must have reason to believe that those are invalid clicks. no one should have any reason to target your sites and click bomb spending their own time. they must have a very good reason to go after you. it is important to play safe online and maintain good relation with everyone. if you tick off someone and they know what is your site running adsense, they can target you. dont make enemies online, make friends.
Contacting Google is probably a good idea. In the meantime you might want to keep Adsense off your site just to be safe -- you can try to reactivate the ads after a certain period of time to see if you're still being targeted.
Always contact google and notify them, that way if they ban your account, when you submit your appeal you have timestamped log of you notifying them, and you will win.
How do you know you were click bombed and didn't just get some traffic from some new source? I think when you are clickbombed they usually can detect it and not credit your account for those clicks. Do you know if you had a lot of "invalid clicks"?
Definitely contact Google to let them know. You don't want to risk being banned because of this. I would leave the ads off for now.
Contacting google to make sure they have record of everything in case you have any further issues, you can prove it by showing the action you took. Also, I agree with what was said above. Try not to make enemies online. I've personally never heard of anything of this nature happening. It sounds like you must have given someone a reason to target you.
I've heard that you shouldnt contact google because they will still ban if they check the account. The best option is to pray that they dont catch it. Think about it.. risk of invalid activity. You got invalid activity. Dont matter if its your fault or not. Still a risk and thats why they ban. Dont report it just take it off for a while.
