Hello, I'm not sure if I should be posting this on Ad Words or on Ad Sense since I am new and really don't know the difference...so please forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong forum site...but perhaps one or several of you good people can help me out anyway. I am having a problem with getting on and staying on Google. Let me give you a little history on my site. We were able to advertise with Google last year with absolutely no problem. We have a seasonal business. We went to start up our season this year and found that Google had not only “disabled†our keywords but also “disapproved†our ad. They gave us the reason that their policies toward gambling had changed and that they no longer allow anything at all to do with gambling. Just for the record, we have nothing to do with gambling per se other than giving out information. We understand this policy and are OK with this. The problem is that when we Google any of our keywords that were disabled we find other advertisers advertising exactly what they disapproved us for. For example, if you Google the words “nba betting system†you will see other advertisers offering the EXACT same product that we were offering and yet Google has allowed them to be listed. This you can see is obviously not fair. So, we tried to bring it to their attention via telephone and email, as well as talking to higher ups at Google several times, and we get the same answer every time, “we will look into it and if they are in violation of our policies we will remove themâ€. And yet the other advertisers are continued to be allowed to advertise. And please, don’t misunderstand us, these advertisers have ads and websites almost exactly the same as ours, so we know that it has nothing to do with Google’s gambling policies. How is this possible? How are they either allowed by Google to advertise their website or how are they getting around Google’s policies? We have tried all of the suggestions like setting up a new account, changing our keywords and even adding quotes around our keywords, as well as changing our domain and even our physical address and even our credit card numbers. We’ve tried finding out from Google why this is allowed and we always get the run around. Does anyone know why this is happening and what we can do about it? What is it that these other advertisers know about circumventing Google’s keyword and advertising watchdogs? adsense = for publishers (people that own web pages and want to be paid) Ad words = for advertisers (people that pay google to send traffic to their site)
