    Hello Digital Point!

I have a problem with my website. Its been up for around 8-9 months now and no matter how hard i work on my site/seo i just cannot seem to get it to rank anywhere on google. I know that the site is indexed by google but after trawling through 45 pages of results earlier i'm just left confused. Over the past 4 months i have had 15 google hits but no idea how!

I'm sensible with link building and from what i can tell have hit most targets with on page seo.

My Main 2 keywords are PC Tablet, Tablet PC, Windows Tablet Reviews and Android Tablet Reviews.

Ranking very high on bing and top on most results. Nearly all my hits come from Bing (600 this month) but i'm desprete for some google hits.

Anybody have any tips/ideas on how i can rank?

    My website is http://www.pctabletpc.co.uk/

    Many Thanks.

Those are SUPER competitive keywords! Even the best SEO's and link builders would find it hard to even get a site to the first page of those keywords.

Yea they are, have you seen what it cost to run and adwords campaign with those keywords.

Its a good looking site by the way, but you might want to focus on bloggers putting links to your site try to cozy up with someone whose got a good blog and mentions you on their posts.

Have you tried any other avenues? Social Networking, blogging, classified ads, review, etc. can make traffic on their own.

Maybe try some long tail keywords (keyword phrases). They are less competitive and easier to rank for.

The keywords which you have selected is very high competitive try to target less competitive and high search volume keywords. And try to create keywords related sub pages in your website (Content is a king) but quality matters.

First target the keywords related to these keywords.means target keyword phrases or long term keywords.
    Then concentrate on these keywords.

    Thanks for all the replies.

I have created sub pages that all have thier own keywords. The pages that review laptops all have long tail keywords but still little comes from them :S

I do use social marketing and it does help me. Twitter, facebook and yahoo answers posting gets me around 30 hits a day. I have to work hard for that small number though.

I fully understand that my keywords seem tough. I had hoped this was not my main problem but it seems so. I'd taken my research from "Traffic Travis" that has said that these keywords are relatively easy to top but clearly those results are wrong.

What is the maximum number of keywords i can have on the front page? At the moment i have 4 with sensible density. Can i stretch that to 6 or would you just suggest changing my keywords alltogether. I'd rather not change keywords if possible as content is written around these.

Im afraid you will need to work on your backlinks, most are nofollow links. You simply do not have the volume and quality to rank for those terms.

    Could be expensive, sorry pal

The keywords that you are trying to rank for are very difficult to rank for, They are highly competitive and also have a high Search value. That is why some serious SEO work is needed to rank high for them. You must also face some stiff competition.

"after trawling through 45 pages of results earlier i'm just left confused" - do you mean that you don't use any tool to check your position in Google?

It is true that you have chosen very competitive keywords, but this isn't a good reason not to rank in Google (you could be on page 15 for example). What I think you should do: check your position in google for a specific keyword (Android Tablet Reviews for example) - you can do that with the RankChecker addon for Mozilla. Start getting backlinks on your homepage with the anchor "Android Tablet Reviews" (in a natural way) and see if you have any results.

Like other people told you, choose another keywords, that are not so competitive. I recommend you to search for some interesting tablets that don't have many reviews (or another articles about that tablet) on Google, write some quality articles and start getting backlinks to them - I am sure that you will see interesting results ;)

The two main keyword is highly competitive, and I think it will take time to improve its rankings. I would suggest to target first some keyword phrases that are specifically related to your main keywords and consider also high-quality content to support your keyword phrases.

You have a nice site but the keywords you are trying to rank for are competitive in the extreme! You would need a serious amount of links across a well planned backlink profile to get any where near the first page.

A good suggestion would be look into the backlinks of those ranking on page 1 and try to get links in the same places, level the playing field and maybe you could creep onto page 2.

    Good luck
