Maybe you should have had a idea in mind before going out and recklessly purchasing a domain

Agreed. I get around 30 e-mails / month from people asking what they should do with their domains and this is always my response.

The domain use is pretty limited due to the words used... it would seem pretty awkward to put up an arcade site on AbramsNetworks.com, IMO. If worst comes to worst, just use AVScripts and put up their free arcade site. Not sure if the site will grow, but if it's for your friends use, might as well.

It depends if you have unlimited add-on domains or not. If you recently got the domain and no longer want it, you can always refund it to the registrar and just pay 20cents (normally) and then you can get another domain with the credit.

Some hosting providers like Host Gator will charge a fee for changing the main domain on the host.

It really depends on what you want to do with the domain... if it's for absolute personal use, I'd say keep it and do whatever you want with it... if you're trying to make a decent site and make it popular by putting time and effort into it and actually make some real money with it, return the old domain or buy a new one if you can afford it and start back at square 1.

Dude, why don't you sell it here on DP, and use that money to buy another one?

    It's really no big deal.

It Depends... What hosting do you have?

I do this all the time. Just do something you like, and you won't have the same problem again.

i like this thread. Shawn...why dont you simple take superman´s advice, sell that domain and THINK about what you want to do with your next website. Than...buy another domain that directly relates to your new projects. :)
