Help! I am literally shaking... Need an affordable hosting solution

I've been with WestHost for over 3 years, and for the last year it has been a nightmare.

I have approx. 15 sites, ALL wordpress. All of them are basic wordpress installs, nothing fancy.

For the past three months I have been getting "high load" emails from them, saying my CPU usage is like 1.2 % or 2%... generally in that range. This only happens when I sent traffic NO MATTER how small of an amount, it seems.

Earlier today it was 13%???? So they claim.... then it suddenly dropped to below 1%.

The problem is that my largest site only gets only 300 hits per day.

So I've been working with them for 3 MONTHS doing everything including adding robots.txt(s), installing wp super cache and blocking IPs.

Today I get another email, saying I am at 13% CPU usage. When I asked them what process(es) were causing the issue, the say Apache.

Well, that's a pretty broad area...

I asked them to be more specific and they said their web development department would charge me for this.... WTF???

I am the web developer! Folks have been paying me for 12 years to develop websites, and then these guys come along and want me to pay them $1,000 to "optimize" a simple out of the box Wordpress install???

I said a couple of choice words on the phone after they suggested this and then they DISABLED MY ACCOUNT, even though I am paid up through July!

So I called them back, after they hung up on me three times..... they finally "renabled" my sites, but only after I gave them my attorney's information!

I feel like 3 years of work almost slipped away.... I am literallty shaking right now....

    Can you guys help me???

I need somewhere to host 15 blogs with little traffic..... PLEASE help, I need to move my sites ASAP, I hate WESTHOST!!

    Everyone BEWARE of WestHost!

Do you use WP-cache Plunging with every wordpress blog?
It is the plunging that uses a lot of server resources. If you can disable it you may not have any problem with your current provider.

If you really want, get a dedicated server or VPS from www.igsobe.com and get 80% off your first month using coupon coolsavings ( I suggest a small VPS) So your first month will only be like 5$. I also suggest you get cPanel, and if you do get cPanel, I can set you up for free, hardren it, and move all your sites :) Just contact me.

I pay them $12 per month, I got in when they had a promotion for unlimited websites and bandwidth. I wish someone would explain to me how I can have 200 websites but only use 1% of CPU, makes no sense to me.

Yes, my traffic sucks because my host bogs down everytime get any traffic.

I installed wp super cache on nearly every blog, as my current host actually suggested this....

Then again, I was told by open of their techs earlier that my embedded videos were using their CPU - ROFL!!!!

Well, I told my current provider to go $^*% my sack. This is not the first time they jerked me around. Last fall, my site was down for 3 days... everytime I contacted them, they said "wait another hour".... I waited about 72 before my sites were back up. I should have left then.

It's usually best to look for a host that doesn't oversell heavily, it will ultimately bring you much better performance and a lot less limitations on cpu usage and other server resource consumption that may not even be caused by you.

This is indeed very bad part from your web host. To be honest leave them asap and get hosting from some good companies like hostgator, bluehost etc. Moreover if you can please try to keep the number of sites on one account to max 10. Although it should be till 5. Cos as your websites grows with time, you might end up facing with all the shared hosting companies.
