I don't know what may have caused the problem, or what the hell has happened to my monitor. It is continuously shaking a lot, the correct word to be used will be 'flickering images on my monitor'. It is almost anooying and if I look into the CRT screen for more than 10 seconds at a stretch, I am almost fainting and getting sort of hypnotised.

I have tried degaussing...didn't work. Refresh rate: Tried to increase but it says 'Out of Sync.' The monitor is about 5 years old and please don't tell me to get a new one....

Anyone helping cure this 5 year old baby for me? Please suggest something..

Did you change the position of your monitor or place some electronic item very near to it, very recently?

I have observed that at times, images on monitor do tend to flicker due to proximity to certain devices.... :(

I tried to solve that issue also... I think there might be a electronic magnetic difference or something like that due to other electronic products, but that is perhaps not the case. The flickering images are more prominent when I start but say after 15-20 minutes, they minimize about 80%... Thanks for the response though...Rightman!
