Help! How to Report to Google Some websites are copying my content?

Discussion in 'Google' started by hashnet, Dec 14, 2015.

    Hi,
Unfortunately some website copy the contents of my website without any referrals and permission, but their webpage result is upper than mine. For example by searching this sentence :
    "
آیا میدانید اولین تلفن همراه توسط چه کسی و در کجا اختراع شد؟
    "

in google there will be alot of websites which have copied my articles but my own website will be in the second or third page of search results.

I translate most of my articles from valid sources with reference, but can be coppied easily and google doesn't care about date of release of articles.
Is there anyway to avoid this problem?
Why their webpage result are upper than my website on google search?
    My website is: http://digiro.ir/

Lots of people copy others work off of websites and post it on their website. It happens all the time. I don't know of a way to stop that from happening.
They might have a higher page ranking because they have done more or better on-page and off-page SEO or other types of advertising and promotion, as well as frequent, HQ, relevant content.

    Good luck to you

call up Google customer support. they actually might be able to help.
otherwise, you would have to get a lawyer and have him send a cease and desist letter. people do it all the time to stop sharing/copying content.

    good luck man!

True that you can send out a cease and desist order but I know quite a few people that have received them. They just ignored them and nothing ever happened.

First ask the websites to remove the content they have stolen.

I've had this happen recently, and they quickly removed the content.

Do some research on DMCA. If the host abides by these laws, then they will remove the content
as they do not want to be burdened by stuff like this. If they dont, then that will probably be the
end of it. I do not see any lawsuit coming out of this as lawyers can cost $100-$200/hr....
even if the content was removed at this point, then you are in the hole....

Yes I know it sucks. Every time you write something, then you may as well be
writing for others too so they can succeed off your hard work....

You may file a DMCA complaint against the websites who has copied your content. If you have a budget for it than go for it.

According to guideline, webmaster are responsible to send the DMCA to the offending site and ask their ISP to take down the content or domain. Next, when the content is removed, you can use the google dmca page/form and file for URL removal.

You need to go and read the guideline again. That is NOT what it says.

ya, there are tons of guideline to refer to when come to duplicate content or DMCA related issues. Its up to the webmaster own effort to do it or not.
Don;t think google will be automatically do the validation and removal for you.

But what you said the guidelines say is NOT what they say! Care to show us just one "guideline" that backs up what you are claiming? You posting a lot of made up stuff around here today. Why do you make stuff up for?

What i made up? Google does have a guideline for users to report spam and to file for DMCA.

first there is guideline or user manual to avoid duplicate issues. found it here.
    https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/66359?hl=en

    https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/google-webspam-report-by/efinmbicabejjhjafeidhfbojhnfiepj
the guideline is you need to provide the spam site url, keyword that you found it, and the copyright owner declaration etc.

for type of spams, duplicate, pure spam, scraping content, and many other types, the document is starting at
    http://www.google.com/insidesearch/howsearchworks/fighting-spam.html

i have done a lots of these document reading in this December. Really messy and there is no exact spot to get started. All i need to do is google for keyword and i will found lots of google articles (known as webmaster guideline) to follow.

    thanks

Wrong again. Go and read the links you posted and compare it to what I called you on above. None of those links are about DMCA's!!! You said above:
Please show us where Google say that you have to first send the "DMCA to the offending site and ask their ISP to take down the content or domain." and the "Next, when the content is removed, you can use the google dmca page/form and file for URL removal."

You do not have to DMCA the ISP or ask the site to take it down first. In fact you can file a DMCA with Google without even contacting the host or the site.

You really getting a lot wrong here in this and other threads. Please stop doing that as it misleads people.

the choice is optional, either you do it within the google quote, or at outside by your own. As above mentioned, you can get expert or even lawyer and pay the expensive hourly fees to get it done by your own. Or you can choose to use the google dmca section to get it done and removed from google search result.

following google videos 1:30 minutes will be what you are asking about. Enjoy.

DMCA is a tough subject and try to avoid in most cases. Thanks for your questions and i hope to provide the right answers. thank

I guess I am going to have to type this slower as you are still not getting it. This is what you claimed:
    I called you on that.
    That is wrong.
You do not have to get the site and ISP to take the content down before filing a DMCA with Google. There is no guidelines that says that.
In fact, if the content is removed from the site or by the ISP, then there is no point filing a DMCA with Google - do you not see how wromg you are to make that silly claim?

I suggest you use Copyscape. Through the use of this site, you will monitor your content. This site will block those sites that will use your content.

As they already know the site is copying them, how is that going to help?
How exactly does Copyscape block those sites?

Send the website's hosting provider a DMCA, seen entire content skimming sites get taken down with some well placed DMCAs.
