Guys, it seems you're all forgetting one thing...no matter if the links you get come from high or low PR, the important part is for the link to have not the nofollow attribute (meaning, it has to be a "dofollow" link). If it's nofollow, no PR value will be passed, no matter if it's on a high PR site or contextually relevant.

Get some ultra high do-follow backlinks from authority sites.... BTW use the search function next time before posting a new thread
Simply collecting more backlinks would not help to gain Page Rank. But he should target to get backlinks from sources that also have a High PR.
