Help me. I have read that having a bounce rate of 60-80% is not really good. Please help me by suggesting on how I could decrease the bounce rate for my website.. Any help would be much appreciated!

You have to really look at the keywords that are pointing at your site. If your traffic is coming in for terms not relevant to your site it will turn people away. Also look at your layout and navigation. Is it confusing for the user to find what they are looking for.

Yes wallis is right. check the keywords and content in your site, they must be not interesting or relevant. If a person is looking for travels but your site is about hotels booking then the bounce rate will be increased so ..keep eye on keywords and content.

Okay. I think I should also change my theme into a more professional looking theme.. My website is all about Job Openings and Job Advertising. It's my first website by the way.. Thank you!

I just visited your website and I can see why the bounce rate is so high. I would have left it right on my first view as well. There are some major changes to the layout you need to do in order to make it more streamlined. The ad-placement on the top of the site and the Like Our FB Page text at the top is off-putting. Perhaps relocate the ad to the right navigation area. The Job Searching and Job Advertising Website section should be the first thing individuals should be able to look at when they arrive to your website.

Thank you so much Ali! Yes, that's also one thing I should consider in my website. I guess I will replace those ads with just text link ads. I am also planning to change the whole theme. Thank you so much for the feedback!

I'd rather have a bounce rate of 80% on 100,000 visitors per day rather than a bounce rate of 5% on 5,000 visitors per day. You should always look at bounce rate in conjunction with levels of traffic. If you've got a low level of traffic AND a high bounce rate then you need to start worrying.

Looks to me like you're trying to get the sell too quickly. You have to gently guide your viewers in, and then ask for the sell.

I am so worried about it actually.. I need to do something with this. I am no working on redesigning the theme, to look more natural and better. I use white and light blue as the color theme and the contents are easy to read. I will now consider showing the users how to use the website step by step..

make the keywords selection proper and update your site status regularly by placing important news over there...which make the people to visit the site and create their interest to explore your site

Thanks for your suggestion. Actually I don't have a problem with the loading time. I also don't have so many high images as you can see in my website. I think it's just for the start and I am really working hard for it.
