Hey all, So we're having some internal debate regarding the number of adsense slots allowed. I thought it was 3, but others are telling me that they have 4 on their sites. Did the policies change or are they about to get banned by adsense? Any help would be great thanks!
Maybe someone internally should just bring up the Policies page and check: https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=48182&topic=8423 It's 3AU, 3LU, and 2SB
You can have only 3 adsense for content ads, but you can ad a 4th if it's a "link unit". So the answer is technically "4", although link units are not technically ads, just link to ads...so a new debate arrises. Are link units "ads"?
Well, then, technically the answer is 6 Although if we're counting the link units because they lead to ads, then the actual answer would be 8 (since the search also leads to ads)
Just because you have more slots doesn't mean you will make more money. The more options you have the higher chance someone will click on a $0.01 link.
i dont think it'll go down to a penny, more like .10 per click for low pr low traffic low converting sites
Maximum three ad units may be displayed on each page. Maximum of two Google AdSense for search boxes may be placed on a page. Maximum three link units may also be placed on each page.
