Help, how come I can't URL forward with namecheap?

    I have an url that i want to forward to a new URL, but nothing happens when I test it out.

    I went into my namecheap account, URL forwarding, and then changed the "www" row to the new address that I want, and selected "URL redirect".

    So how come it doesn't work?

    I'm not familiar with NameCheap's control panel,
    but it sounds like the http:// may be missing
    before the www in the URL you are forwarding to.

    If that is not the case, then either e-mail NameCheap
    support or submit a help ticket.

    Also, it may take some time for forwarding to kick in.
    I've seen it take as little as a few minutes to as long
    as 48 hours.
