Dreamweaver CS3 is useful for opening up those php or cgi scripts and making alterations to them, but other than that, your PHP and CGI scripts are not associated with Dreamweaver. You can find lots of different login/newsletter/cms scripts around the net or on www.hotscripts.com for example - you would download the script you want, make any needed edits in Dreamweaver, and then upload the files to your server and go from there. I don't know of any scripts made specifically for use in Dreamweaver, Dreamweaver just helps.

    HTH,
I think I'm starting to understand with the help of people like you that willing to help. If you don't mind I would like to ask you a few more questions. I have template that I found on dreamweaver and I want to put a login register php script or some kind of script similar. I'm trying to create an affiliate site that provides torrent links like www.isohunt.com.
So to my understanding once I have the template down. I would upload the script from my hosting company on the cpanel using something like fantastico or what do I use? I have tried to find a tutorial online but not luck.
Let me know if you can help with any advice and I appreciate your help.
    Thanks
    RM

You could use Dreamweaver's built-in "Site Manager" to login to your site and upload your scripts, but I prefer using good old FTP myself. I like WS-FTP, but you might like SmartFTP or Core FTP. You will use FTP to login to your site, upload your scripts, CHMOD any files or folders as designated by the script, etc.

Fantastico may be of use to you IF you find that the script you want to use is included in Fantastico - which I rather doubt in this instance. Fantastico is simply a component of Cpanel that allows you to quickly install scripts that it includes by default - I find it is better to install scripts manually instead of using Fantastico, because Fantastico does not always have the latest updates for the scripts it offers, and it is always easier to upgrade a script you have installed yourself.

So once you have the script you want, upload it via FTP and follow the instructions in the README file that came with your script. You can create any databases you might need in Cpanel > MySQL.

    Hope this helps!
