Buying HELP! Google just slapped my network of sites, need help asap

Just yesterday Google penalized my network of 12 related websites. Some of them had page #1-2 rankings. Now they all seem to be limited to page 4+. I suspect it may be due to quality issues, such as overlapping content and lack of sufficient original content. It sounds like Google is even on the lookout for networks of sites that are too large to give each site sufficient attention. So I am looking for help to fix this situation. Worst case scenario I may need to consolidate to fewer domains, but I don't want to overreact in case it can be fixed easier. Send me a message if you can help. Thanks!

i can advice you, do following.

1: do different hosting for each domain, or at least use 3 or 4 different hostings.
2: If theme/design is same, change it.
3: Do original contents on site.

    thanks.

Thank you for the advice. I am likely to do #2 & 3, but using multiple hosting companies for each domain or even 3 or 4 hosts would be a hassle. Do you really think that is necessary? These sites are already under one google analytics account and one google webmaster tools account. So it's a little late to try to make them think the sites are separate.

It could be the Google dance. Goes down to go up sometimes with me when I'm working on a keyword. If not duplicate content will be always gone in the search engines eventually its a bad thing to do. :D

Were the websites linked one to each other?
Did you sell links on them?

Sorry for late follow up. Good do 2nd or 3rd steps. Having wordpress sites , then you have 1000's of themes available and can easily change design/theme.

For step 1: I am not saying you go for different hosting companies. I mean different servers. Like you can buy multiple packages on hostgator.com . each server will have different ip and different name server.

Do google for SEO hosting. and you will why it is important, why people have different IP for their sites.

google analytics and google webmaster can be same, that is not problem. But try to have sites on 2 or 3 different google analytics and google webmaster accounts.

If you have any other question or need details. PM me.
