Hello, I’m kind of a newbie in this, and English is not my native language, so please, go easy on me. I’m working on a Project but I didn’t yet figure out the best way to do it. That’s why I need your help to find the best way to do it. The project has to main goals: 1. Provide a good and innovative service to a niche. 2. Send leads to websites that I’m going to promote as an affiliate. What I really want is a simplified version of Hotels Combined (www.hotelscombined.com) but for a specific niche (let me use cars as an example). At the homepage, people search for a Mercedes Benz, year 2004, in Spain. The results are a list, with the relevant results, and the link to the merchants stores. This could be, of course, ordered by price, relevance, etc. It’s so simple as that. I don’t want to make price comparisons like almost every websites of this type does. I don’t want to send people to a page were they see the Mercedes and a list of prices from different merchants that are selling that car. They search, they get the results from several stores that I will be working for and they leave to one of them. End of the story. I know that stores will give me feed files (xml, csv) with the data. So I just need a script that searches them all and displays the ordered results to the users. I also need to be free to define the searching fields according to the ones of the feed files. Oh, and it has to be CRM… I’ve told you I’m a newbie, right? So, what do you recommend? Should I use a price comparison script and change it to fit my needs? Or there’s an easier option? I hope I’ve made myself clear. Thank you very much.
I think you should go for whatever you have. If you price comparison script then go ahead. If you need new script or existing script modifications then you can pm me.
well, I don't really have anything yet. I'm just trying to understand the best way to do things first.
