Hello everyone, I started a blog about a year or so ago about internet security, a topic I thoroughly enjoy. The only promotion I've done is through Twitter and article marketing (which doesn't seem at all effective). I only get a few thousand visitors a day and want to improve it and have heard about getting backlinks is the way to go. Beyond what I have already mentioned above I have no idea what to do. Can anyone offer up some suggestions?
Do some keyword research, pick some decent keywords and get ranked for them basically. It would help if we could see your website/blog.
few thousands visitors a day? Can you let us know the source of these visitors are the coming from social networks or search engines? To begin with start with 2-3 keywords and generate backlinks on these. You can comment on relevant blogs.
Start by submitting your blog to blog directories and website directories, then "it's very important" submit your RSS feed to all directories you can then focus on article marketing but you need to make it a mass article marketing, by submitting a lot of articles to hundreds and thousands of directories and blogs
A few thousand visitors a day is very impressing! Maybe you could make a link partnership with other websites from your niche?
with the link popularity of our blog which has lots of links from other blogs or websites. give backlinks or inbound links on your blog that can increase traffic to visit your blog.
