Hello, I'm trying to get a loan through Prosper.com (see the link in my signature). For those of you that are unfamiliar with Prosper, it is a person-to-person lending service, where ordinary people lend money to others. The lenders collect interest, the borrowers get a loan at a rate better than they can usually get at a bank, and Prosper skims a little off the tops for themselves. Everybody's happy! I thought maybe since I've done a little business here and have built a little iTrader reputation, I'd plug my loan attempt here and see if maybe I could get some help - oh, and you can make money by helping me, too. I wouldn't be asking if there wasn't something in it for you. Now you're asking, I'm sure, what I need and how it can benefit you. There are three ways you can help me get this loan: 1) If you're someone I've done business with in the past and you think I'm a reputable enough person that you're comfortable giving me an endorsement, click on the link in my signature and leave an endorsement. There isn't any direct money in this for you, but while you're at Prosper.com, you may decide to fund somebody's loan, and then you'll make a little money. 2) Follow the link in my signature and bid as little as $50 toward my loan. Prosper is paying $25 to new bidders. If you bid $50, and my loan gets funded, you get your original $50 back, plus interest, plus the $25 bonus. That would get me a little closer to my goal and help me out a lot. 3) The biggest help would be to give me an endorsement and bid $50 towards my loan. Endorsements seem to have more weight behind them when the endorser also bids on the loan. You'd earn the money about, plus become the idol of millions worldwide (well, you'd be my hero at least). On a side note, even if you don't want to help me with this particular loan, I'm wondering what the interest might be creating a DP-related group on Prosper? There are always people borrowing small amounts here. With the iTrader and rep systems, and the ability to get to know each other here, would a Propser group that allows to somewhat maintain this community there be something people would want to use? It seems to me that if there's an interest in borrowing and lending here, having this information to refer to there could be helpful. Thank you for letting me ramble about this, and for any consideration you might give.
