    Hello All,

I did not know where to post this question, please excuse me for that.

I have paypal account and am still unverified.

I have been running for Credit cards to many banks like ICICI, HDFC but the card is not just not coming. I have been applying and re-applying since last 4 months. I am from Gujarat.

Any idea where to apply for this cards, may be i am running in wrong direction. Should I go for Credit or Debit cards. I mean there are so many cards like Gold, Silver, International cards etc... I am just confused. Will SBI International Card do for getting verified in Paypal? I have an IDBI ATM-cum-Debti card with Visa logo on it.. but it is not working in Paypal. When ever I try to register, a message comes, your bank is not allowing to register, contact your bank. When I approach IDBI, they say it is ok. So I am really confused. I have never used such cards before.

Alternatively, is there any other way of getting verified by Paypal ?

Please help me the best possible way to get the required card.

    Thanks in advance:)

    Eh Boss,
I am from gujarat too. Well Paypal uses Credit cards for verification purposes and its not really possible to take out that factor. Its quite impossible. You ahve to get a credit card. I suggest that you call any Bank REPRESENTATIVE rather than the Bank guys itself.... It would be easier. If you are from Baroda i can give you references. Just mail me

    Thanks Udit and Rajeev.

Rajeev: Seems I am getting a solution by opting for Net safe card from HDFC. I hope it works. If not I shall mail you. Thanks buddy. Regards. gopalgkb

you can verify yourself using hdfc netsafe card its a safest option...
alternately use cc from hdfc or icici...
    for hdfc cc
you should have a salaried account ...or you should be a 6 month old customer of savings account.
    for icici
you can get instant cc with a fixed deposit of 20,000

    hope it will help you...

Your current card isn't working 'coz it probably isn't an international card. Ask your bank if it is an international card or a domestic card.

Just get an international credit/debit card with VISA logo on it and it will work just fine :)

Riya Senk: Thank you. I am trying the Netsafe from HDFC as other members
have suggested. If not, I think I will go with VCC. Thank you.

Shashank: I have gone for Netsafe from HDFC. I hope this mess will get
    resolved in another 10 days.

    Wonderdog: Thank you

Well, let me begin by saying that I am from Mumbai, India. I am a verified paypal member and I have used my HDFC Credit card to verify with paypal.Initially, I too tried verifying with my International debit card but it does not work. You must have a credit card. This credit card will have a VISA LOG or Master Card logo on it. Do not try to verify your paypal account by using VCC. You are in India and I know only a credit card will work as 100% full proof. If you need any further assistance about how to actually verify your paypal account, once you receive your credit card by postal mail, you can then send me a PM. I will guide you at that time.

    Hello Friends

Anthonyn: Thank you so much for your valuable suggestion. I have actually applied for two things simultaneously hoping atleast one of them will work. I have applied for a Credit card with Bank of Baroda (where i have present savings account, and I have good rapport with senior officers there) and also applied for Netsafe Debit card from HDFC. I opened a new account for this purpose last week after suggestions from DP members. Thank you for your detailed explanation, I shall approach you if required. Thank you once again.

Rainwalker3r : Thank you for your suggestion. If the above does not work, I shall look into the VCC option.

    Regards
