*Forum* has over 7k registered business owners and 24,000 monthly uniques.

It is geared towards business professionals but looking to create a free/paid directory so consumers can find the professionals.

    • Should I have the directory on the same website or create another website for the directory?
    • The forum has a homepage for news but thinking of creating a separate website just for daily news, good or bad idea?

If its on the same, should I have it on a subdomain or just folder?

    Thank you.

I believe subdomain would be a good idea than creating a folder. You just link it and as you are saying you have so much traffic indeed you will get good response for that also.

    A subdomain seperates it better.

And if you have high growth, better hire some moderators

You can ask people on the forum to moderate it for you - choose people who have made lots of positive contributions. That way you can save money and make someone feel good about themselves.

These guys are right, both in their advice, and about it being a good problem. If you think it'll work you could even monetize their membership to the forums. This way you can filter out some of them, and also make some more money.
