help formatting the ads in the page, text links

Hi There,

I would like the ads to appear at the bottom of the page as text links, but there is no way I could make them change, also they appear vertically when I need them to be in one horizontal line, please like here in this page http://www.cigarsmokers.com/ .

I have tried everything, the help file, setup instructions and also the unofficial digital point ad-network but still, it does work. So I would really appreciate your help, many thanks

Clear out your .txt file

and when you cut and paste the code there is a small box underneath it with br in it

change that to " | " (Without the quotes but keep the spaces)

 

I have modified the file adding this ¦ and the ads still appear vertically. Besides, If I modify the txt file, for some reasons it gets updated with the old format and this happens pretty quickly.

is the alternative to re-write the file continuously?

I really thought this was going to be very straightforward to implement.

You don't modify the .txt file, you clear it out to get rid of the banner ads.

You shouldn't have to modify the code at all. By adding the | , it is instantly updated in the box above it.

I was just saying about the .txt file as one of the things I've tried to do. Changing the symbol doesn't help. I just get the banners separated by ¦ but still vertically.

I've cleaned the file and it's no better.

The new idea is directly substitute the tags <table><tr><td> and so on for blank content before writing the $adnetwork in the file.

Could this be useful? Has anyone tried?

You are making it more complicated.

If you are still getting banners after clearing the .txt file, your ad_network_xxx.php is wrong.

Go back to setup instructions and select "Text links only" and enter | , cut and paste that code, then clear your .txt

 

Great thanks, just saw the light. I got it wrong at the beggining with "text banner adds" and couldn't get pass that.
