Help for setting custom domain in blogspot

Hey guys i want to setup one of my blog hosted by blogger(blogspot) with custom domain. I have bought a domain. and according to tutorial of google i added the cname and A record in the DNS setting of blog. I want to ask that should i have to change the nameservers too ? or leave it to the default nameservers of the domain provider ? And how much time will it take to setup with my blog after setting the dns settings ?

 

hey I just started blogging and got a cusm layout and everything, but I don't get why we need to buy a domain name? What benefits do I get from buying a domain name that blogspot doesn't already have?

 

I bought the domain to get the shorter and custom name to give professional look to my site.

 

You don't need to set up name servers, leave them as is. It'll take up to 3 days for the domain to resolve, though usually it is much faster (several hours).

 

Buy domain, get a host, change nameservers, add as addon domain, upload files, make database done

IMHO, use Wordpress

I have set the domain with my blogspot blog for "www.example.com" also i set one of my blog for "games.example.com" but there is one problem with subdomain settings that when i use "www.games.example.com" it says cant find the server what the problem is how can i set up for my subdomain ?
