Help For A Newbie? -

    Hey people, anybody got any tips for a newbie like me on where to start learning HTML and build basic websites?

    Seems interesting and though I'd give it a go:p

    I would recommend w3schools also.. I of course didn't have this much information at my fingertips when I first started, but if I did.. I would defiantly recommend w3schools to myself. And of course lots of practice as stated above. It's not an overnight thing.. but you can experiment with it and learn as you go.. which is the fun part.

    Best way is to analyze...
    Find a website, view the source, and analyze.

    That's how I learnt HTML.

    Just started learning some at that W3Schools. Is pretty good ha. I'll continue and hopefully I should be able to know quite a lot after lots of practice and studying it.

    good luck.. dont give up, it seems like a little bit hard at first but after several coding, you will find that it's not so hard after all...

    Hi,
    You can also, (while you learn from the suggested resources), have an html editor and try whatever tags and exercise...(I use editplus, u can use it free as long as u click at the agree button)
    Some people knew nothing about html & just by using an html editor they learnt a lot without even remembering any tag...

    W3schools is really good. However I found that it was most helpful to do the TRYITNOW's.. They have the code written already for commonly used things and you can test them out.
