Does anybody know where a newbie in Internet Marketing can go to get help? I don't want to spend an arm and a leg to buy assistance. I know there is help available but have no capital to work with ans was wondering if anybody has been in the same boat as me before.
Just read as much as you can here.. you can also start out with free methods like article marketing... keep in mind though it will take a while to see results..but first get to know some of the basics like keyword research, picking a niche, Adwords, ect.. have patience.. I.M is a steep learning curve..
The best place to learn about seo and internet marketing is Digital forums and V7N Forums.Just become member in these forums.
read everything on this forum and on the Warrior Forum. that's really more than you need to know and will already provide you hundreds of perfectly sound business plans and blueprints.
Type SEO in Google then follow a few links to read tutorials. Then go to forums and deepen your knowledge. You can also order books online if you're really serious about it.
Get a book off Amazon.com and you've saved a lot of time and money that you'd waste on stupid ebooks from "gurus." Also, you have to wade through tons of garbage on forums like DigitalPoint and and Warrior Forum. So although you can get good help if you ask questions, you don't want to spend a lot of time here or you won't accomplish anything other than reading. Best advice: Start doing something and learn as you go.

If uyou want to become an affiliate take a look at the Warrior Forum, those guys know their stuff, to learn SEO search in Google for SEOMOz, that site will teach you the basics of SEO. To start with nothing is not impossible but not recommended, for example I wouldnt start anything ithout my own domain and hosting, that way I know I'm in control and my site will not get pulled at anytime... All of the advise you all have given is very much appreciated and I won't give up by any means. I realize it will take time to get anything good going. I'll admit, it can be a bit frustrating at times knowing exactly where to look but I know there are plenty of resources to draw from. As for Warrior Forum, I have signed up but noticed it has gone back to a pay service. It isn't terribly expensive but is a bit difficult to do anything with since I have no capital as previously mentioned.
What are you trying to accomplish on your web site -- more traffic? Added sales? Higher return-rate of previous visitors? Be specific with your goal as that will help determine what you need to focus (and learn more about). A lot of what veteran marketers know now they learned through trial and error -- just have the patience to go through the process and you should do OK...
truely speaking there is no place where you can get free help. but you can learn some important things from forums. i will suggest not to buy any kind of eBooks regarding this. cause most of them are scams.
Simply read some of the recommended threads, if you have an idea of what you would like to do in terms of article marketing, forum posting, blog posting, then search for threads in forums like these for hints about using it to your advantage
