I'm having a difficult time finding negative keywords for my campaigns. I understand the concept, I just can't find a good way to search for them.

I'm building a campaign that is selling a course for doctors and physical therapists. Unfortunately, I think a lot of the impressions I get are patients.

How can I find negative keywords for my campaign? Is there a process that works well?

And don't forget to change the keyword match type to "Negative".

the best way to discover negative keywords is to install a 3rd party analytics program. I recommend opentracker, prosper202 or statcounter.

The reason you want a 3rd party analytic program is because it will show you all the search terms used on adwords to reach your site. It will expose all the used search terms within your broad and phrase match type keywords and show you the exact terms used by the searchers.

You can then analyze these reports to build out your negative keyword lists to get more targeted traffic and reduce costs. Unfortunately you have to spend a little to learn a lot and this is the only and best method to really develop good negative keywords lists.
