Hi Real estate is a nightmare when it comes to keywords - there are million different keywords and phrases and the competition is rediculas. However, I would like to stay one step ahead of them (if I can). How can I drive millions of visitors to my website; 1. Target audience would be worldwide. 2. Does not have to be to an amazingly targeted audience. 3. I don't want to pay for traffic. I would like to do any of the work myself (save costs and I want to learn). I am sure there are a few of you out there that could help and I would appreciate your technical expertise. Many Thanks
You can try finding some keywords that aren't as highly searched for, but which have less competition. Find a few of those phrases and write some articles to submit to article directories. Make sure you have the keyword phrase in the title and at least 2 more times through the article. You can find some free press release sites and submit a press release. Try finding a forum that caters to the real estate market and start getting involved in the forum. You can put a site link in your signature that people can see when you post. Put ads on some of the free ad sites - like Craigslist.org or USFreeads. Start doing some of these things - and the traffic will start to add up.
cheers - I will make a start on that tomorrow. However, the keywords are proving to be a nightmare - even long tail key words tend to be a challenge as most of the real estate companies through money onto their SEO as its cheaper than buying leads. However, the press release sounds like a good idea. I already have one or two adds on craigs list and gumtree.
If you are looking to drive millions of visitors to your website all on your own - you have quite a task ahead of you. The first thing I would start with is article writing. Get those long-tail keywords through research and write articles for them. Submit them to a site such as ezine articles and wait for it to be accepted. This is the article you will use to rank in the search engines and deliver your site traffic. After its accepted, submit it to several other article directories for increased backlinks that will help with SEO. You can rewrite each article for each different directory if you'd like. If you social bookmark these articles you will be able to recieve additional direct traffic and the link you get from the article directory will become more valuable.
maybe my expectations are somewhat unrealistic but you have to set a target to get you going - I would like to get 100,000 visitor per month by 1 Jan 09, which will give me approx 1.2Million visitors by the end of the year. Can I expect to get that sort of traffic or is there something I can do to get me that kind of traffic in the short space of time? I have taken on your advice above (Many thanks), - I have already written 12 articles in Squidoo and social book marked them using social bookmarker and onlywire, but they are not generating much traffic (either the keywords are wrong or there is to much competition in those keywords and I will re-look at them this week.) I have already started on 2 press releases (Many thanks for that one) and will get them released on Monday - Again is there any specific day of the week that they should be launched to get maximum exposure? I ask as I usually send out my newsletter on a Thursday (Close for the weekend for people to discuss at home yet still in the peak of the business week (ie people are lethargic on a Friday)). I have created a few videos on Youtube which have assisted with strong links, especially as other sites also pick up good content from youtube and will add another link for you.
The other way is reading my blog. I always give tips abou SEO, traffic and everything Internet Marketers need these days.
According to me its a time taking process ahead. You may have to start doing SEO Practice with unique Keyword, off page optimization, forum posting, blog commenting, social bookmarking. try to get Backlinks from high PR sites. Rest will follow, SURE
Millions of visitors is not realistic with the massive competition. Without spending i doubt it can work.
25 Articles to 25 Directories sounds interesting - can you point me in the right direction - ie which directories. I understand that High Ranking Directories are good - but where can you get a "Good" list rather than just a general list of directories. "Millions of visitors is not realistic with the massive competition. Without spending i doubt it can work." OK - I get the hint I will have to pay for some stuff. 1) I would rather learn, 2) How can I be sure I am not just wasting my money 3) How much would it cost and what kind of returns should I expect 4) Surely if I learn and do it myself there will not be a large ongoing cost to keep my positioning high I am making a list of real estate blogs, forums etc to start posting on. I am also in the process of writing another 5 articles which i should have done by Monday. Do I just keep repeating the process over and over again until things start to happen? Is there a way of beating my competition if they are already high ranking on certain keywords?
