[HELP] DP doesn't open

hey guys! need help. DP is not opening thru on my PC. it opened when i used a proxy (using a proxy right now). but i don't think it is my ISP that is blocking the site. with my normal IP, i get a "server taking too long to respond" error.

what could be problem? and how can i resolve it?

Nup, its not a normal problem as others are not able to access DP even once in last 3 days.
They are just waiting and waiting for it to recover.

whew! u all won't believe how difficult it was for me to reach here and reply most ips give a "network timeout" or some other error

so others are facing the problem too?! how did you know? there are other threads like this?!!?

and yea, you are right about that 3-day period. been having probs for 3 days now. initially it was a database error. after it recovered from that error i guess the server response time went up or sth....

i hope th admins are looking into it. i really miss DP. using proxies is sooo slow that i can;t do anything here, except post this reply

Ya, My friends are also not able to use DP.

By the way its not good to log in via a proxy into DP. Thats not safe at all.

Its probably that digitalpoint server is rejecting connections of people or ISP issue

 

I have had a problem logging on to DP sometimes too. I thought it was me!

 

it most likely has to do with you using a proxy

 

well, i don't have a choice. the only way i can open DP is to use a proxy. i just tried again without a proxy and it didn't work again

Guys try to open the ip address 216.9.35.60 and see if it opens for you ?


If it does go to your windows host file and set the domain to this ip it will work

 

May be your ISP problems,try from another IP.

He already said that he can browse the forum from a proxy server ( which is the same as "another" IP )

Regarding forum issues - use a non-public proxy server .. Problems should disappear after a week or so ( saw the same /problem/ a few months ago ).
