Help: Domain transfer of ownership

    Hi,

First I would like to say I'm new to these forums and not sure if this is the right topic, but I am trying to contact the owner of the auction I won for a domain name and the person hasn't responded yet. Is there anything I can do about this? And how long should I wait? He also hasn't verified that he owns the domain name and no instant paypal payment option so I'm very confused as to what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

how many days past since the end of auctions? Your seller might be away on vacation, etc.

We could probably help you better if we knew where the auction was hosted as well.

I apologize I should've given more information. The domain ended yesterday morning, on this website. I've messaged him a day before the auction ended as well and got no response, as well as after. I looked the domain name up on google and it said from a year ago the person who was trying to sell that exact domain name was a scammer/might've been a stolen domain name, which is why I'm concerned. Any feedback would be helpful, thank you.

    1) hope you did not pay yet
    2) what does this person itrader looks like?
    3) bring it on DP (i.e. confront this person publicly)

I did not pay yet, thankfully, firstly because he did not even have a verified paypal set up. I'm not exactly sure what an itrader is since I am new to these forums, but I'm assuming that is the seller's reputation? He had 1 good review and that was it. And how would I confront this person publicly on DP? Thank you for the help by the way.

    reply into the sale thread
if they do not respond but continue to post/sell in some other threads, post your concerns into those
could be a different owner than year ago and may be just away on vacation
check whois info as well if available

Oh wow, look at this, this is the same domain ooj.org, and he got banned too:
    forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1332757&highlight=ooj
And that was posted in this forum too.

This is the one I won:
    forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2518986&highlight=ooj

I'm pretty sure this guy is a phony.

the itrader of the first account is 12, which is pretty decent and people get banned for reasons usually related to their posting/promoting and not defrauding activities
you can try to report a duplicate account if you thing so at http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=3
