Hi, I need some help. I just registerd a domain 2 days ago in place of my ning.com address. I want my address to show in the browser instead of my ning address.

I tried the domain forwarding and my new domain points to my ning website but it does stay in the browser. On ning's side I try their domain redirection but it gives me an error: "That domain name does not seem to match this network. Please choose another domain name."

I tried my new domains forwarding and masking and the ning.com site gives me an error saying it does not accept frames. I registered with dotdealers. Is there something I am missing. Should i cancel this domain service? if so how long till this domain is available again for me to use with another service? as I have already paid ning.com to allow me to use my own domain. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

The normal solution is go to your domain registrar to check whether you put the correct nameserver.
If you pointed the wrong NS,then you'll never can access your site using domain name.

Thanks for the reply mentos. I think I have the correct nameserver. The reply from ning was that I may need to set up my cname at Dotdealers but I am not getting a reply from them. Does anyone know how to set up a cname? Ning said it should look like this: www.yourwebsite.com --> CNAME --> yournetwork.ning.com/

    Thanks Again.

I suppose that you need to wait up to 72 hours. DNS is not working immediately and changing nameservers that is not instant process
