Help Deciding

Here is my dilema: it has to do with the way Google looks at domains.
I am about to start selling a product that nets $500-$700 per unit. For demonstartion purposes, I will use the keyword: "credit card".

1. creditcard.info and creditcard.us are available through Godaddy at a couple of $. This search term turns 18,500,000 results in Google

2.credit-card.net is available at Godady for $.


With Google in mind, which is better to develop?
Monthly searches as per adword tool is 40,500

if it was me i would go with the .net extension

 

I think whichever domain name that you choose have little effect. What matters the most is how you develop the domain later part.

going off personal experience .net has always seemed easier to rank in the search engines rather than a .us or .info

but what lycos said also needs to be considered the development of the website and the domain will play a big part in your search engine rankings

 

It's really difficult to anticipate where and how you would rank. It happens to me before that I was trying to optimize based a particular keyword but ended up ranking well for another. However, if I were to choose among those 3, I would still go for credit-card.net

 

I think credit-card.net is better.

 

It depends on your target traffic. Is its USA traffic, then go for the .us domain, since its the exact words.
If you want to target global, go for the .net option.
