    Hello guys,

    I'm going crazy with Vanity Nameservers and my domain name mediamate.co.

    Hosting : Digital Ocean
    Domain: mediamate.co
    Registrar: Godaddy

    This is what I've done:

    1. I have a domain name registered at Godaddy, I've created 2 GLUE records for NS1/NS2 pointing them to DigitalOcean Nameservers (screenshot: http://cl.ly/image/370D1d2L1v2Z)

    2. In Godaddy I have changed my primary domain nameservers to reflect the new configuration (screenshot: http://cl.ly/image/3n3A1T2k1K3y)

    3. I've updated the DNS settings in DigitalOcean creating NS and A records screenshot: http://cl.ly/image/3n1d443d3104

    4. Finally, I've updated the DNS zone settings on my zPanel by creating two A records ns1 and ns2 and pointing them to Digital Ocean nameservers, screenshot: http://cl.ly/image/2k0N262u0U2G together with two NS records: http://cl.ly/image/0L1U2M1c1d0V

    mediamate.co is working and reachable but if I point any other domain to the new nameservers it will result unreachable.

    When checking my domain DNS configuration with online tools like intodns.com this is what I get

    ==============
    INFO: GLUE was not sent when I asked your nameservers for your NS records.This is ok but you should know that in this case an extra A record lookup is required in order to get the IPs of your NS records. The nameservers without glue are:
    198.199.120.125
    173.245.59.41
    You can fix this for example by adding A records to your nameservers for the zones listed above. (A records exists in my DNS zone file)
    ==============

    I don't understand if something is wrong with my zPanel DNS configuration or if the problem is related to DNS settings on DigitalOcean / Godaddy.

    Any help is appreciated! Thanks

    Hey,

    I'm not entirely sure how zPanel DNS configuration functions, but you might want to try here:
    http://cl.ly/image/3n1d443d3104
    Make it:
    - instead of ns1.mediamate.co. => ns1
    - instead of ns2.mediamate.co. => ns2

    I know it basically means the same thing, but it might be something worth trying.
    I know that in cPanel they're simple ns1, ns2, not the entire domain name and it works just fine.
