first of all I would have to say the website it's not xhtml/css valid so it will obviously look all wrong in IE (true nightmare browser). Website has 133 Errors, 25 warning(s)

Well, hate to break it to you, but even retaining the appearance the answer is to throw out that template as it's complete rubbish - it shouldn't even work right in ANY browser in the first place.

As I say so often 'round these parts, with hundreds of validation errors you do not have HTML, you have gibberish - and it would be faster to throw it all away and start over clean than it would be to try and save that train wreck of code... as evidenced by the whopping 32k of markup for 1.6k of text content on the page.

NOT that this is shocking or out of the ordinary for a website built in wordpress...

I'm not looking to cleanup ALL the errors I just want the site to be displayed correctly in IE6/IE7/FF

Therin lies the problem - with so many things wrong it would take longer to find what's screwing up the layout than it would to rewrite from scratch.

Probably the biggest errrors messing up your page are the unclosed tags. I see anchors unclosed, lists unclosed, there's also improperly escaped javascript that's possibly causing issues... But just the mere fact it's 32k of markup for 1.5k of displayed text and 60 or so images makes it four or five times more HTML than is needed for that layout - making debugging it a chore most coders wouldn't even touch.
