My friend was just hired over at Photoworks in San Francisco to help out with their marketing. I told him to start with SEO so I'm trying to give him some pointers. Here is their website. http://www.photoworkssf.com
I mentioned to him that he needs to come up with a title that will work for his niche. The keywords they want to rank for is "Digital Printing San Francisco" & "Photo Printing Bay Area". What would be the best title to use for this site? Is there anything else as far as SEO that he could do to help his Page Rank? The title I came up with for him was this. What do you think? Which would work best?
<title>Photoworks: Digital Photo Printing San Francisco Bay Area</title>
    or
<title>Digital Photo Printing San Francisco Bay Area | Photoworks SF, CA</title>

I usually use a descriptive title vs. the name of the company. He should also add a description tag as it is missing. This sometimes is not that big a deal as google, etc., will pull content from the page to serve as the SERP description. Hence, it makes sense to have a good description tag.

Fine art reproduction is one of a number of things we do as well. Most folks who need something reproduced understand what the giclee process is so its good to have that in the description as well.

Additionally, it would help if you had some copy on the home page. It is largely embedded in images. They do have proper alt tags though, so this is good. All in all that site is fairly sound with good pr on internal pages.

Finally, make sure that all meta tags are page specific. For instance <title>Photoworks-SF</title is the title for the pricing page http://www.photoworkssf.com/servicesandrates/

this should be something like Photoworks | pricing and rates all these pages are missing the description as well. I would still add keyword tags(not too many keywords) in spite of the fact they don't seem to do much.

    hope that helps

I think the second one maybe good but you don't need the SF,CA since you put San Francisco Bay Area ...

the only reason I say this is for branding purpose, difficult to measure but
everyday when someone searches even if they dont click on you, they may see the Photoworks brand ... and later on when they really want to use digital printing they might just type in photoworks
