Hi, I have a file hosting service which receive around 100,000 unique per day. I have been trying to promote "Blogging to the Bank 3.0" for a few hours, it received around 600 clicks (no sales). Do you guys have any ideas or comments for choosing a product to untargeted traffic?
Have been running Adsense for about 3 years so far, without problems. But about a month ago I got an email from them, that my website is not allowed anymore. The reason: a user uploaded a copyright file, I always delete copyright files upon request and did so in this case too, but there was nothing to do. So, have to look elsewhere now. (already using Adbrite + Casalemedia for banners).
yeah with 600 clicks in a few hours get some adsense up mate and you'll be laughing! EDIT: Just seen the above.. what about Bidvertiser? i made abit with them before.
Ok, this is what I think you should do....... -Add google analytics to your site -Find out the keywords that people are using to get to your site -And if those keywords can be related to any product or company out there start posting ads or banners about these companies. -You can use CJ, Linkshare, COPEAC and so much more to find the big guys And if you think this is too much work to do........just try to sell banner spots in your site. It's sad that you can't use Google Adsense anymore. You could make a lot of money.

I think PC software will work as well as Adsense. Try a mixture of both. Stuff such as "make your PC faster" or "registry error fixers" will do well. Have a look in Computing & Internet category of Clickbank.
I wont dont think clickbank is the way to go, and adbrigt pay a very low eCPM you should simply try out This company: http://tinyurl.com/ If you get in, they affer all sorts of banner sizes and popup codes, popups pay up to 1.7$ per 1000 popups banners pay anyway around 0.15$-0.46$ per 1000 Impressions, i also have a massiv traffic website, i get around 20k-50k uv's a day, and i tryed all adv companies this one if by far the best. good luck
Clickbank is not for you, try CPA networks like COPEAC, you can access COPEAC through my sig. I think it one of if not the best CPA network. Good Luck!
If it's a filehosting service, then most of your traffic is probably pretty young, like 12-21 so even if they do find a product interesting, most of them probably won't have the money to spare, or a credit card in the first place. The best thing to do is go for some CPA offers, CJ has dozens that would appeal to most crowds, so do copeac, marketleverage and the rest. good luck
Ok, if you traffic is pretty young like MedicAffiliate mentioned above......there is one thing that can make you money for sure. RINGTONES. Young people never get tired of buying ringtones mate, but be aware.....before you start advertising those ringtone companies in your site, you better go over their policies and follow them too. Otherwise, I guarantee you that you`ll regret it later. Good luck again. Mega PS: Mate use your imagination for your own sake.......you getting this traffic and you didn`t create a list out of it yet. Stop playing around man. Do a promotion in your site, give a free ebook or anything.. Get some emails mate.....later they will become sales.
I would start by just throwing up a couple different free products like ebooks, ringtones, wallpapers, etc and start building a list. At least while you figure out how to monetize the traffic, you will still be doing something effective. If you set up multiple free offers on your site, then you can see which offer receives the most signups and then use a product related to that offer to monetize the site traffic! Simple... Just gotta test different things yourself and see what works
Haha, im not "playing around" have tried alot of stuff - mostly that was a few years back, but i jumped the "adsense wagon" like alot of other people while trying other stuff, but at some point you just stop trying since nothing compare to adsense. Going to try some ringtone offers. Have tried that in the past too, but going to give it a new try. Also, I got around 850,000 registred users. Never mailed them before or anything, just normal signups upon uploading (people can upload without register, but members have some additional features). Huge amount of users, but no sure if I can, or should, take advantage of this.
Why not send out an ebay affiliate link to all your members, it will give them a cookie which should last through the holiday season, you may make some good commission!
I never said a general ebay link.... You should be alot more creative then that, ebay now has tons of affiliate tools to help come up with advertising. I think your main problem in monetizing your traffic is going to be your lack of imagination. Good luck and hope that you come up with something!
