Hi everybody, just wanted to know, during recording a presentation is it possible to add pop up messages or text messages on a screen as opposed to having a voice over describing the presentation? because some user prefer to read message rather than have a voice to listen to. If so how?

Another thing i would like to ask, which some of you may have noticed when recording is, when i record something my mouse cursor keeps on flickering(disappear and reapearing) at a constant speed. Can somebody tell me why this happens and how to over come this please.

    Thanks

I don't know the first thing, but in your second issue just do this:

    Go to:

    -Tools
    -Options
-In the "Capture" tab check "Disable display acceleration during capture".
-In the "Video" tab, set the option to Manual and put about 20-30 frames per sec.

And now your recording should be much smoother.

    Hope his helps :)

Hi just saw your reply, unfortunately i do not have the "Capture" or "Video" tab. The ones that i do have are as follows: Program, PowerePoint, Screencast.com, Upgrade Options and finally Zoom. Hope you do think this is a silly question but are you still referring to Camtasia Studio ver 5? As this is what i have used.

    Thanks

Go to Camtasia Recorder, no Camtasia Studio.

Forgive me if I am not understanding your question...but I think what you are asking for is called "callouts" which you insert at edit time after you have made your recording. Check out the manual (can download from Techsmith's site or view online) for "callouts" and I think you will find what you are looking for.

    Hope this helps...
