I have a very important question that has been bugging me for the better part of 2 years now. I cam by Digital point and thought you guys could help. I run a popular forex site... forex4noobs.com/ On my site I have a few blogs forex4noobs.com/blog/ As you can see right now my blogs have the default site header and footer. However, this is limiting the design potential and layout options of my blog. So here is my big question..... Should my blog have the same header and footer as the rest of my site? or is it ok for my blog to have a different look and feel about it? I was thinking I could just mix it up a little. Have the links to the forum and the rest of the site on the blog however make the header different. However, a friend of mine who knows a fair bit about design practices and usability says I should keep it consistent with the same header and footer....
I personally think it works very well. I see the top navigation is the same. Adding the extra menus still looks good and it keeps it functional. I would keep it as is.
