I already hate you and your site because of that stupid bar thing and the pop-up box at the bottom.

Edit: Okay, now that I'm talking to you again. :)

I'm thinking the title colours are wrong. Actually, I'm thinking the page colour is wrong as well. White text on a black background is hard on the eyes.

I would go for a much more soothing white background with black text with headings to go with the overall theme - dragons are really, really cool, btw, but wasted with that black.

Seriously, change the colour scheme. I think what's happening is people are landing on your site, reading as much as their eyes can take before their retinas burn out then closing the page. Give their eyes a reason to wander to somewhere peaceful aside from the photos - your ads.

EDIT: Oh, put your ads on the left side of the page instead of the right. That'll grab you a few clicks. I would put a link bar first, followed by a little bit of site navigation, followed by a 160x600. You'll need to experiment a little to get the balance right but visitors are going to naturally scroll down the page to look at the pics, meaning the ads are well out of sight by the time they've seen what they want to see - so they would be better placed a bit lower, imo.
