Help assessing credibility of Chennai, India, seller

    I have plans to acquire a website from a guy of Chennai,India, for 500-1000 dollars. He does not want to use Escrow because it takes a month for him to get the money. Western Union is what he prefers and he wants the money fast. To make me feel safer he has transferred the files beforehand and I will receive the domain once the money has been received.

    How safe would you say I am here? Anyone here from Chennai maybe?

    Tread very carefully in my experience.

    I have bought sites before that have been stolen or even completely hacked from other webmasters.

    He was acting very weird and I decided that it was a fraud attempt in the end.
