Hello Digitalpoint. I heard good things about these forums for various things and I heard that people on this forum are experienced in the realm of backlinks, SEO, etc.

    My Blog in Question: http://techfate.blogspot.com

    Here's my question:
How do I create backlinks for my website? I've submitted to Technorati and some search engines but I've heard of link exchange between websites in the Technology Realm ( main focus) with Gaming and Mobile (sub-focuses) as the topics my site mainly focuses on.

How do I increase my keywords( what are some good keywords for me to use)?

How do I get more links on my website?

How do I increase my PR/ Gain more visitors to my site?

Any Tips for an Amateur Webmaster?
I've had websites prior fooling around with and learning quite a bit, still don't know ALOT though but I'm learning.

Thanks. I know these are a few questions but I want to get my blog out there and get some readers and commenters, etc.

I have a YouTube channel so far hovering almost to 10,000 views and 15 Subs in 2 weeks, would that help me any? Twitter Account with 1,200+ followers as well.

    THANK YOU=)

as a step number one i would change your domain name - it is not wise to invest into a free domain

Thanks. I am eventually going to change to get a domain when my site actually gets more traffic, etc.
Any blog directories, etc. I should submit to?
And how do I create quality backlinks?

Changing your domain name later as opposed to now would be a HUGE mistake- the SEO work that you do between now and then would be pretty much lost. Invest the $9 into getting a decent .com domain now- it will save you a lot of headaches further down the line.

WebDev is correct with his advise to you. get a good domain name right away. Try to pick something that is relevant to the niche you are seeking to optimize for. The next step would be to submit to directories, then once you get these first two tasks done come back here and lets get to the next step.

1)I would suggest that rather than you creating backlinks and bringing traffic on this free blogspot domain you should go for .com domain registration which you can get it at just 1.49$ .You can put those extra efforts in .com domain and take it to new heights and bring more traffic than your blogspot domain.I'm saying this because free domains do not have much value.
2)Next you can create backlinks in many simple ways by commenting on other high authority blogs which are related to your niche,by exchanging links,by providing useful content.
3)How do I increase my PR/ Gain more visitors to my site? To increase your PR easily you just need to submit guest posts on other tech blogs which already has good PR and Authority. This is the most easiest way everyone is using today to get high PR for their blogs.
4)Next about bringing good traffic,If you write high quality content automatically search engines will bring you good traffic to your blog.
5)You can also use facebook, twitter, stumbleupon, pinterest, youtube to drive good traffic to your blog.

Really, getting a domain name that you own yourself is definitely a good idea. I would not use a free domain and spend so much time and effort in building that up. Truly, it does take a lot of time to build up the SEO and backlinks, and marketing and all of a website.
