Hello, my name is Brandon. I'm new to this forum yes but not to forums. I run a wrestling forum right now that gets loads of posts, 20 to 30,000 a month actually. I am in somewhat a boggle, I need cash but I also do not want the site destroyed and distorted by someone who just wants the database. I'm wondering what people would think could the site be actually sold for, since it's about 8 months old, still growing and very active, 3000 visitors a day, etc.

Thank you for your time. :]

    Sincerely,
    Brandon.

I would think this is charged according to the amount of money you made multiple by say 6-12 x depending on the potential. To be ready for a buyer I would suggest getting your stats ready maybe a screen shot of your stats report and also your monthly income from the site.

I have the stats all prepared, the problem is until just recently, I haven't tried to make profit off of it. I made it for personal enjoyment and never looked into advertisements until just recently, which I am only doing to get a revenue report for selling the place.

Yes that would actually be the fair price to ask. If the site has a lot of potential then you might get a bit more, maybe 16x monthly earnings.

Here's my dilemma, since I don't shoot for making revenue, and only have just recently added in a miniature advertisement to the bottom ... what would be a proper way to get decent bids for the place? It has a lot of potential for a young forum it keeps expanding.

In that case, it will be pretty hard to sell, because potential buyers need to evaluate the prospects instead. It would be best for you to spend some time monetizing it before selling in this case. Or you may not get a lot of money for this.

Try making auction on it, it could be sold for a good money, try any other alternatives in money-income.
Adbrite is good, because they pay well for impressions, try getting in tribal fusion, thou someone told that they do not accept forums, my forum was recently taken into the program.
