Hey guys, I need help. I just got an email from some random person saying that i have been spamming them like 20 times a day! they sent me a screen grab of there mailbox too! Does anyone know whats happening and how i can fix it??
Weird problem, maybe someone got your login/password and are using it to spam? Did you give out your password to anyone or any website?
well if someone got ur password, and is using your email, then sent mails should be in the 'Sent' items - However, i doubt that this is the case... what i am guessing is that someone is using a mime header cloaker, so that it 'seems' that the mail server is ur google email address.. anybody wants to verify what i m saying ???
Thanks for the help guys. I've changed my password i;ll see how that goes but there is no spam in my outbox that is the thing.
The entire folder can be deleted in a few clicks ? But yes, i have to agree with the others here, i doubt that anyone would bother to login to your account to scam someone else How does that affect you? Like instead of spamming to you they spam from you Makes no sence! Thanks, Freddy
It is not difficult to generate emails and make it look like they came from you. It's pointless unless you are trying to be a pain in the a$$ to someone ... Do you have any enemies? I have heard of people doing things like that to mess with people (that so sounds like "I have a friend who..." I swear I have never done crap like that myself!) ... do you have any psycho girl/boyfriends? Have you wronged anyone lately? Ask the person who emailed you to send you full headers and see if there is an IP address you can track and contact the provider to see if they can do anything ... good luck!
