Hi guys I am planning to create a website. I have bought a domain name already from netfirms. Now im confused about webhosting. I have two options Hostgator and netfirms... Hostgator is offering me hosting at $66/year and netfirms at $29/year after applying the best coupons. Please suggest me which one should I go for. If you want to see what they both offer then I am giving link to both hosting services. Kindly compare them for me and gimme an advice.

Between the two definitely go with the more reliable option HostGator.

Choose Netfirms will do as you only starting stage.

Use the excess money to do marketing.

Host gator you can get for $1 for the first month, you could also try some of the hoster on this forum (me included) to see how they compare. Do you want Cloud, dedicated, semi-dedicated or shared? Think about how much traffic you will need in the future, then look at bandwidthetc.

Hostgator is very reliable. If this is your first site, however, and you just want to learn what you're doing without too much of an investment, either option will work for you. I guess it depends on if you're just focusing on building one site right now or if you're planning on creating a lot of little niche sites.

I must say that hostgator has doubtful reputations. I suggest you to check some alternatives.
have a look at ultrawebsitehosting.com website hosting solutions. or you can also contact their support, tell your needs and their team of experts will go over your needs and find a perfect fit for you.

Been using Hostgator. So far so good. Their online support is pretty helpful.
