Help, all my e-mails are gone

I just recently used Outlook Express for quick access to my webmail. My PC caught on a virus and I have to format it. Of course, when I set-up my Outlook Express again I pretty much expect it to empty, but I'm suprised that my webmail is empty as well. Is it not suppose to cache my previous e-mails? Are they all gone for good?

Just run your back-up... Which you do have, right?

When you set up your POP account it asked you whether to download a copy, or download the actual mail item. All will be gone if you didn't select 'copy'.

I think it's under options where you need to select "leave a copy on the server".

I changed the location of the store folder to a secondary disk. So when I format and re-install all emails are still on secondary disk...
