Help adapting these long pages to article length

My site features generally longer CD reviews. I'd like to try to publicize some of them via article submission, but I've never done so.

On average, the articles consist of around 1000-2500 words. (Examples here and here.) Each one gives a description of a CD as a whole, then talks about each individual song. (The writers on the site are encouraged to write longer if they want; it's for music nerds to immerse themselves in.)

As for turning them into SEO'ed articles -- optimize them a bit, and give some kind of summary maybe? What about submitting them as is? Or is it a good idea to give a teaser, maybe one or two songs, then "click to read the rest" or something? Maybe use the "album overview" as the article if it's long enough? Or split them into parts?

Not sure how article marketing would work with a site like this, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Most submission sites frown upon blatant teasers. You might include a summary of the review then pick two or three songs to feature. A submission article can be as short as 250 words, so you might just go with the summary, but be sure to rework it so that you aren't hit with duplicate content...

Thanks internetauthor. I think that's the way to go, use the album overview only. I can see why "blatant" teasers would be frowned upon, but how strict would that be? Would it be acceptable to have, say, a 600-word article and at the bottom mention something like "Read a full track-by-track guide here" with a link? Or do I misunderstand article writing? ;)

Also, to what extent should I rework it? Altering a few things here and there or a complete overhaul?

Sorry for all the questions, I just want to do it right :)

If you're submitting to article sites like Go Articles, Ezine, et al, I wouldn't worry about it.

Submit what you want and move on. Your goal isn't to build their site. It's to do what you need to do for your business.

I've submitting the first part of a series and teaser stuff before. Why in the hell would you give some other site your main content for free?

Unless it's Yahoo or someone big and there's bona-fide name recognition coming along with it, don't do it.

Don't get sucked in by the "bottom of the barrel" mentality that plagues many small Internet webmasters around these parts.

Close your article with a paragraph about how the entire CD is reviewed at your site and whatever other details you want.
