my web site is www.downloadfull.net . My web site is joomla site and all urls were like site.com/content/view/12/65 . Nearly 3 months ago , i have installed a joomla component to create search engine friendly urls . it's working well but google made all pages "Supplemental Pages" and google is not indexing new pages now. 3 months before i was getting 3k daily but now i'm getting 150-120 hits daily . for this time i have updated my site map daily but nothink has changed can anybody help me? what must i do?
Do a search on the forum for supplemental pages. You'll find hundreds of posts. Thousands of web developers are in the same boat as you. Google will not help you or respond to any inquiries about this issue. No one else KNOWS how to get out of supp hell, but lots of people have ideas and one may work for you. All I can do is wish you good luck and hope you figure a way to get your pages out of the supp index. Don't waste your time asking google though.
This may be self inflicted. Look at this search showing your supplemental pages: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...l.net+-inurl:www.downloadfull.net&btnG=Search Click on the first link and it displays the index page data but the url is for : http://www.downloadfull.net/content/view/1968/ . Look through most of the links in the index and they all behave the same. Now look at the cache for the first link: http://64.233.187.104/search?q=cach...www.downloadfull.net&hl=en&gl=us&ct=clnk&cd=1 It's the proper page. What could have happened is you switched to a SEF module that was not doing a 301 from the old url format to the new and all the old urls in the index show the home page content and not the specific content page = 1,350 identical pages. Not sure how to clean this up but I would start by digging into the SEF component. Personally I use SEF Advance. It cost money but is supported and Emir does a great job on it. Good luck, -jay
