Hello to all of you! Can someone tell me how are backlinks counted? If someone linking to my site and my site linking to that site this is counted as a backlink so does the search engines counts if someone is linked to my site and I didn't linked to their site? For example.... I have a url shortener and tracker site, something like bit.ly. I saw that bit.ly have so many backlinks and didn't saw that bit.ly have links from all sites on their site. So if I'm right this is not backlink because it is linked only in one way so can it be counted as backlink? One more question... When will be my backlinks indexed, next day or for couple of weeks or months? Thank you for the explanation!
